Respectful Relationships

At Regency Park Primary School, we implement the Respectful Relationships Initiative, which teaches students how to build healthy, positive relationships and supports students to be respectful, resilient, engaged at school, and confident in themselves.

The core of Respectful Relationships is about treating everyone with respect and dignity. The program provides tailored learning materials for students from Prep to Year 6, including age-appropriate lesson plans and activities designed to develop new skills, confidence, and resilience.

As a school, we use the Resilience, Rights & Respectful Relationships teaching resources developed by the University of Melbourne. These lessons are delivered once a fortnight throughout the year, giving students regular opportunities to learn and practise social skills, which they can apply positively in learning, life, and relationships.

These lessons complement our Play Is The Way program and reinforce our strong focus on the school’s values.
