Regency Park is more than just a school. We are a vibrant learning community that actively fosters home-school partnerships. Families are encouraged to embrace opportunities to become involved in our school, whether supporting classroom programs, special events or celebrations, contributing to School Council or the Parents Teachers and Friends Association or simply by keeping up to date with school news and happenings. Your involvement not only enriches our community but also makes a lasting impact during this exciting stage in your child’s educational journey.
We value open, meaningful communication and ongoing engagement with our families through:
Participation in special events and school days
Our school calendar is filled with memorable events where families are invited to participate and cheer our students on. From House Sports and Athletics Carnivals to Cross Country and Interschool Sports, these occasions are always well supported by our enthusiastic community, with many parents helping behind the scenes or encouraging from the sidelines.
At Regency Park we also love to celebrate with themed days such as Book Week, Harmony Day and Footy Day. Costume parades are a favourite, giving students and staff the chance to showcase their creativity and celebrate together.
Annual Community Night
A beloved highlight of our school year, Community Night brings us all together to celebrate everything that makes Regency Park special. This evening event is attended by both current and past families, and often features student musical performances, an art show case, family-friendly games and activities and food stalls.
Community Night is a wonderful opportunity to connect, celebrate, and share in the pride we feel for our school.
Volunteering in the Classroom
We encourage families to volunteer and support learning in their child’s class whenever possible. Volunteering may involve:
- Listening to children read
- Assisting with number facts and learning activities
- Supporting activities in the library
From time to time, we also welcome parent helpers on school camps and excursions, where an extra set of hands is much appreciated.
Please note: All volunteers must hold a current Working with Children Check. Your time and support help enrich the learning experience for all students and it’s a wonderful way to be part of your child’s school journey.
Assembly
Our assemblies take place every fortnight on Friday mornings. They’re a special time to celebrate student achievements and showcase the exciting activities happening throughout the school. We’re proud that our assemblies are always well attended by families.
Regular Communication
Our fortnightly newsletters keep families connected with upcoming events, student achievements and important announcements. Teachers also share weekly Learning Insights through Compass, providing a snapshot of classroom activities and how students are engaging with their learning.
Staying informed helps strengthen the partnership between home and school and keeps families involved in the day-to-day life of Regency Park.
