As we approach the end of Term 2 and the halfway point of the school year, we would like to thank everyone for their ongoing support. We continue to be incredibly grateful to our community for their investment in their child’s learning, their support of our teaching and learning programs, and their partnership in promoting the wellbeing of all students.

Our end-of-term newsletter is always a special edition, showcasing highlights from across the term. We hope you enjoy looking back on all that has been achieved throughout the semester, including the many exciting events, learning experiences and growth our students have demonstrated.

Best Wishes to Jayde Cairns

This week we send our best wishes to Jayde Cairns as she commences her maternity leave at the end of the term.

We wish you all the very best as you embark on this exciting new chapter and look forward to meeting your newest family member in the future.

Cheese Toastie Fundraiser Thank You

Thank you to the volunteers who supported our PTFA’s Cheese Toastie Fundraiser.

Your time, organisation and assistance ensured the day ran smoothly, and many students enjoyed some delicious melted cheesy goodness. We greatly appreciate your support.

Year 4 Camp

Thank you to our staff and parent helpers who attended the Year 4 Camp at Phillip Island last week.

It was a wonderful first camp experience for our Year 4 students, who embraced the many challenges and opportunities on offer while creating lasting memories with their classmates.

We look forward to sharing a more detailed update and photos from their adventures in the next edition of our newsletter.

Regency Rangers

Exciting times are ahead with our Regency Rangers receiving their badges at our assembly this term, having their first incursion to learn about the Victorian Container Deposit Scheme and how we can benefit from making better decisions with what we do with our recyclables.

The Rangers have had several meetings where they were tasked with different things to make a positive impact on our school, and we all look forward to Term 3 and the works we can be doing within our school community.

After the holidays, more information will be shared about container drop off points at our school and other opportunities we can take to update and make our garden bed area and other parts of our schoolgrounds new and interactive!

Victorian State School Spectacular Update

Our Spectacular Dance Crew is excitedly waiting for Saturday the 29th of August and we will soon be able to snap up tickets to this performance.

Mrs McGowan has the following information to help with ticket purchases below.

Parent Teacher Student Conferences Reminder

A reminder that Parent Teacher Student Conferences have been brought forward to Week 2 of Term 3 to provide families with an opportunity to discuss their child’s Semester 1 Report and gain further insights into their learning progress.

As has been our practice, we encourage students to participate in these conversations. Student involvement provides an opportunity for them to share achievements they are proud of, reflect on their learning journey, and discuss goals and aspirations for the remainder of the school year. As such all interviews will be face to face.

Bookings are now open on Compass. Please log on to secure your booking.

We hope your children enjoy a restful and restorative two-week break, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back for the start of Term 3 on Monday 13 July.

Every Child. Every Opportunity.
With courage and commitment,

Allyson Kocaj

Principal
