Regency Park Primary offers all children moving into our school a comprehensive and supportive transition program. Naturally our incoming Preps receive special consideration. We provide numerous opportunities to visit our school within a warm, accepting and encouraging environment. Our dedicated teaching staff ensure a happy successful transition into school life, with the children developing confidence and early friendships.

Enrolment Processes:

We encourage you to book a school tour with the Principal on either Wednesday or Friday at 9.30am each week.

Bookings can be made through our office on 9801 3614.

If you decide to enrol in our school you will need to complete an enrolment form and provide the child’s birth certificate, immunisation certificate and passport if the child is born overseas. We can photocopy these documents for you at the time of your enrolment.

What exciting times lie ahead! At Regency Park PS we provide a comprehensive transition program for our ‘new’ Preps. The children engage in fun activities which build their confidence and friendships. When it comes time for their first ‘real’ school day they are truly ‘Ready for Regency’.

Transition Information and Dates in 2019 for 2020 Prep Students

Term 2

Teddy Bear Night:  (For current Prep children/parents and prospective 2020 Prep children/parents in our Prep rooms) Come dressed in your pj’s and bring your favourite teddy. Parents, please stay with your child and chat informally with other parents.

Open Day: Wednesday 23rd May 9:15-11:00am.  Come and visit our classrooms and see our students in action!

Term 3

Once you have enrolled your child this will be confirmed immediately and you will be sent a letter outlining key dates. We want you and your child to feel connected to your new school and offer you a number of opportunities to visit. Apart from these formal visits we encourage you and your family to visit on the weekends and utilize our playgrounds and spacious grounds.

These sessions are for enrolled 2020 Prep students and will provide many opportunities for us to get to know your child.

Please come to the office area where your child will be directed to different classrooms and activities. You will need to collect your child's name tag and sign your child in and out for every session. Parents will also be offered a range of information sessions at this time, which are held in the Library.

*Session #3: Friday 13th September 2:15-3:15pm (Healthy Lunchbox)               

Term 4:

*Session #4: Friday 18th October 2:15-3:15pm (Spanish craft) PLEASE NOTE: Blue teacher information form is due today.

*Information Night for parents in the GP Room at Regency Park Primary School: Monday 28th October 6:30-7:30pm

*Session #5: Friday 8th November 2:15-3:15pm (Play is the Way)

*Session #6: Friday 22nd November 2:15-3:15pm (Music and Movement)

*Meet the teacher Day: Tuesday 3rd December (9:30-11:30am) in 2019 Prep classrooms. On this morning your child will participate in engaging Christmas craft activities with their teacher for 2020 along with their Grade 5 buddies. All parents, children and 2020 Prep teachers will join together at 11.30am for a fun barbeque in the grade 1 /2 playground area. This a very positive end to our comprehensive transition program and everyone leaves knowing that 2019 will be a  very smooth smart to the year.

We have received positive feedback from our Prep parents on the comprehensive transition program offered at Regency Park. We want you to feel secure in your choice of school for your child and will endeavour to meet your family and child's needs to ensure a happy, smooth start to school.

Before School & After School Child Care Program

St Luke’s Parish offers before and after school care at St Luke’s School located at 25 Stokes Road, Wantirna right next door to Regency Park Primary School.  To arrange either before or after school care for your child you can call St.Lukes on 9801 0841 or ask for further information from our office on 9801 3614.


Outside School Hours care is available through the St Luke's Parish School Age Child Care program, located in the grounds of our neighboring school, St Luke's Primary.

Parents drop their children off at St Lukes in the morning and then staff bring the children over to our school  through a shared fence, before school begins  After school,  staff will pick up our children and take them to the after school facility.

All enrolments, bookings and payments are made through St Luke's Parish School Age Child Care Program Office (9801 0841)

School Uniform:

All of our students wear their Regency Park uniform with pride. We have a uniform shop on site which is open every Tuesday morning at 8.45am and more often during Prep transition times.

Please note that all students require a school broad brimmed hat for Terms 1 and 4 as part of our Sun Smart program.
