Colour Run Fun!

Regency Park was awash with colour this afternoon as we celebrated our annual Colour Run fundraiser! The smiles, laughter and excitement were shared by our whole community, making it a wonderful afternoon and a fantastic way to celebrate our fundraising efforts.
We are incredibly appreciative of the generosity and support of our Regency Park community. Our fundraising total currently sits at over $14,000, with fundraising remaining open until Monday 9th November. Thanks to your generous contributions, we are looking forward to delivering a much-needed upgrade to our basketball courts, with new towers and resurfacing scheduled to be completed over the holidays. What a fantastic outcome for our students!

A special shout-out goes to Amelie Fraser and Tayla Goldspink, who truly took one for the team by ‘volunteering’ to be slimed as we reached our fundraising milestones. What champions! And if we reach our next milestone of $15,000, Mrs Middlemiss will be next in line! We are also looking forward to announcing the class that has raised the most funds. There is still time to get those final contributions in!

Of course, events like this don’t just happen. It has been a particularly busy year for our PTFA, and we would like to extend a huge thank you to Michelle, Kim and Kylie Middlemiss for leading the Colour Run, along with the many people who worked behind the scenes and on the day to make it all happen.
It was a fabulous afternoon, full of colour! Thank you, Regency Park, for once again showing what a wonderful community we are!

Intergenerational Program

Once again, our Intergenerational Program, in partnership with Salford Village and Knox City Council, has been a wonderful highlight for the students and residents who have had the opportunity to participate.
The program has now wrapped up for the year, with the students in 2MG enjoying a range of engaging and meaningful activities, from creative arts with Ron, key rings, Cheryl to Christmas cards with Sue. These opportunities provide such a valuable way for our students to build connections, share experiences and learn from members of our wider community.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank our wonderful ‘Grand Friends’, along with Ms Hawkins, Ms Moore, Miss Cairns and Ms Graham, for their enthusiasm and commitment in bringing this incredibly special program to life. We are so fortunate to have such wonderful community partnerships that create opportunities like these for our students.

Save the Date – Regency Carols

Although it is hard to believe that the festive season is nearly upon us, we are excited to once again host our annual Regency Park Christmas Carols on the oval on Tuesday 15th December. A wonderful opportunity to come together as a school community to enjoy some festive cheer. One to pop in the calendar!

Student Free Day

A reminder that Friday 20th of November is a student free day, where our teachers will be completing important work around assessment and reporting. TeamKids are open to book should you need to organise care for the day.

Remembrance Day

On Wednesday the 11th of November, we will gather as a school to honour Remembrance Day with a ceremony beginning at 10:25 am, led by our school captains. This special event is a time for us to come together in reflection and gratitude for those who have served.
Students will participate in their classrooms and invite students to bring a small flower to place at the base of our flagpole if they wish – these can be from home, hand-picked or purchased as a meaningful way to pay tribute. This gesture is completely optional. We also have Remembrance Day items for sale at the office including pins and poppies. The sale of these items supports the work of the RSL. Thank you for joining us in this important observance

Every Child. Every Opportunity.
With courage and commitment,

Allyson Kocaj

Open Classrooms Afternoon

Last Thursday’s Open Classroom Afternoon provided a wonderful opportunity to showcase the learning taking place across our school. Families had the chance to explore Mathematics and Literacy across all grades, as well as see a range of activities taking place in our specialist classes. The afternoon was a valuable opportunity for families to gain insight into their child’s progress and achievements.

It was fantastic to see so many people attend and to witness the pride our students took in sharing their work and talking about their learning. Thank you to our teachers for their preparation and efforts in making the afternoon such a success, and to our families for taking the time to come along.

We hope you enjoyed the opportunity to celebrate your child’s achievements and gain a deeper understanding of their learning and the progress they are making.  We look forward to welcoming our families to more Open Classroom Afternoons in 2027.

Kind regards,

Katreen McCoy
Assistant Principal – Teaching and Learning

COMPASS changes for easy and clear communication from the office.

Instructions for making your payment will be provided from the office via Compass with the step-by-step guide for use on your phone or computer.

Punctuality in consent & payments on COMPASS

Thank you to all of our families who have already paid their family contributions. Please see our Business Manager, if you would like to undertake a payment plan for upcoming school costs.
Please note payments for the majority of school events/excursions will be processed via COMPASS.

Throughout the year there are many payments to be made for excursions, camps and swimming. It is very important that these payments are paid by the due date.

All events that require permission and payment will need to be made by the due date if you wish your child to participate.

Only in very extreme circumstances will we be able to process payments after this date, even if the excursion has not yet happened.

Unfortunately, this means your child misses out on the event.

From experience I know that parents can be quite upset when this occurs, so I ask you to be aware of this process and ensure that consent and payments are made via COMPASS on time.

If you have trouble accessing COMPASS or completing payments, please see our office staff who can assist you with the process.
